Fighting Blindness Canada (FBC) is a proud partner of Accessible Media Inc. (AMI). To support Canadians living with vision loss by providing eye health information and educational resources, FBC and AMI collaborated on 2 illuminating one-hour podcast specials, featured on AMI Radio’s channel, The Pulse.

From the history of innovative eye disease treatments to exciting vision research breakthroughs, AMI Host Joeita Gupta speaks with doctors, advocates, researchers, and vision loss community members on their findings and experiences with blinding eye diseases.

Episode 1: Eye Care during the Pandemic


COVID-19 has posed unique challenges to healthcare providers, treatment availability, and patients across Canada. This informative episode explores first-hand experiences from vision loss community members and answers common questions on vision care during the pandemic from leading experts.

Guest speakers include Dr. Deepa Yoganathan, Ophthalmologist with Windsor Eye Associates; Liz Tully, retired HR professional living with wet age-related macular degeneration, and Dr. Larissa Moniz, FBC’s Director of Research and Mission Programs.
