2020 Vision Summit
In recognition of the symbolic year 2020, Fighting Blindness Canada, the Canadian Council of the Blind, and other national vision organizations are hosting a summit in Ottawa on February 12 called the Canadian Vision 2020 Summit.
The day will bring together diverse groups—patients, caregivers, researchers, policymakers, government, and more—to reflect on past achievements and create a clear vision for people with sight loss in 2020 and beyond. Discussions will span three themed panels: living with vision loss, vision research, and access to vision care. Preliminary white papers have been drafted to describe key developments and challenges in each area—we are accepting feedback on these documents now and welcome your input.
The Canadian Vision 2020 Summit will be held on February 12 from 8:30am to 12:30pm at the Christ Church Cathedral on 414 Sparks Street, Ottawa, ON, K1R 0B2.
