Shorcan Charity Day Raises Another $10,000 for Vision Research
On January 24, 2019, Shorcan Brokers Limited contributed $10,000 to Fighting Blindness Canada (FBC) as part of its 21st Annual Charity Day.
Every year, Shorcan, TMX Group’s fixed income interdealer brokerage, donates one day’s profit to a variety of designated charities. 2019 marks the 11th year that Fighting Blindness Canada has been a beneficiary of Shorcan’s Annual Charity Day, and brings Shorcan’s total contributions to FBC to $92,661!
Shorcan’s generous support will support sight-saving research into blinding eye diseases and will give hope to the over one million Canadians living with vision loss.
“I’d like to express our sincerest gratitude to Shorcan for their generous support,” said Ann Morrison, Director of Philanthropy at Fighting Blindness Canada. “Thanks to their yearly contribution, vision research continues to advance towards the ultimate goal of making treatments and cures accessible to all Canadians.”
